Thirteen thousand Żabka stores do not reset a U.S. cooler
The tender is a European food system. The facing in a Circle K this week is unchanged.
Sept. 5, 2026 — Żabka’s more than 13,000 stores are a franchise convenience system in Poland and Romania. Couche-Tard wants the food, digital, and supply-chain practice that comes with them, and has said the tender is meant to close before the end of fiscal 2027 if approvals land. Shareholders with about 57 percent of the stock agreed to tender.
None of that is a U.S. planogram. A buyer who rewrites a fall set because the parent bid for a Polish chain is guessing. The U.S. inside number Couche-Tard just printed was energy drinks and nicotine, up 1.7 percent same-store. That is the set to defend. Żabka is a deal memo.
If a Żabka item, bun, or dispensed spec shows up in a U.S. Circle K, it will have a receive date and a facing. Until then it is not a launch.
