Heat and sour only count if they survive four feet

A flavor trend is a grocery sentence until it fits an impulse pack.

July 23, 2026 — Sour and hot profiles are moving through snacks and candy. Most of the evidence is still a grocery or club launch. Convenience does not get a vote until the item is a single, the coating survives a warm lot, and the price fits the ladder already on the fixture.

A limited flavor that needs a shipper in the middle of the aisle is a display, not a set. The set is four feet. If the new SKU cannot kick a slower facing off those four feet, it is not a convenience launch. It is a sample.

Buyers should ask for the pack that already sells in a c-store, not the pack that photographed well in a deck. The flavor is the easy part. The facing is the job.
